For this reason, The University of 69É«ÇéƬ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

You may also establish a named scholarship at The University of 69É«ÇéƬ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Carrino, Dr. Caesar A. Scholarship in Fine and Applied Arts
The Dr. Caesar A. Carrino Scholarship in Fine and Applied Arts was created through a gift from David L. Bennett in recognition of the guidance and encouragement he received from Dr. Carrino as a student at The University of 69É«ÇéƬ. Dr. Carrino served as Dean of The University of 69É«ÇéƬ’s Evening College and Summer Sessions from 1974 until his retirement from the University in 1989.
This scholarship will assist a deserving student who is majoring in any program within the College of Fine and Applied Arts, with preference given to a student majoring in Mass Media Communication or on the Public Relations track for Business and Organizational Communication. The recipient will be selected annually by the dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts, in coordination with the Office of Student Financial Aid based on financial need. Mr. Bennett would like to participate in the selection process.
