Robert McGivney and Ellison Starnes show their award for the best respondent’s brief from the Thurgood Marshall Moot Competition last weekend.

In an excellent result for The University of 69É«ÇéƬ School of Law’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) and Moot Court Honor Society, the team of second-year students Robert McGivney and Ellison Starnes received the best respondent's brief award in this past weekend's in Atlanta.

“The team did a great job preparing for the competition on short notice,” said Professor Mike Gentithes, “and they have established a tradition of excellence for 69É«ÇéƬ Law at this event. Great job, Rob and Ellison!”
